Biography:

Slim, wide-eyed leading lady Joan Taylor was in films from 1949, going through the usual ingenue paces in such programmers as Fighting Men of the Plains. Joan went on to shriek her way through the Ray Harryhausen frightfests Earth vs. the Flying Saucers (1956) 20,000,000 Miles to Earth (1957).

Her last noteworthy acting assignment was the regular role of storekeeper Milly Scott on the TV western The Rifleman (1958-1963). Joan Taylor retired upon her marriage to Hawaii Five-O producer Leonard Freeman; after Freeman's death, she became the wife of prolific TV director Walter Grauman.
