Biography:

Performer Matt Long emerged as a supporting actor in the mid- to late 2000s. He achieved his most significant break in his early twenties, as one of the titular leads on Thomas Schlamme's critically worshipped -- but audience-ignored -- coming-of-age series drama, Jack & Bobby (2004).

That program -- which, despite its title and one of the plot elements, bore only the most tenuous connection to the Kennedy family -- observed the doings of two contemporary young brothers, amid the throes of an upbringing by their hip, pot-smoking single mother (Christine Lahti), and the overarching suggestion that one would go on to run for president in the 2040s.

After it folded prematurely at the end of its first season, Long tackled supporting roles in such features as the romantic comedy Sydney White (playing the boyfriend of Amanda Bynes) and the Nicolas Cage superhero saga Ghost Rider (as a young Cage). ~ Nathan Southern, All Movie Guide.
