Biography:

Esteemed French actor Sami Frey is best known for playing eccentric, offbeat supporting and occasional leading roles in New Wave films such as Agnes Varda's Cleo From 5 to 7 (1962) and Jean Luc Godard's Band of Outsiders (1964). He was in his late teens when he made his screen debut in Pardonnez nos Offences (1956).

In 1993, Frey garnered considerable critical acclaim for his portrayal of mad actor, poet, and theorist Antonin Artaud in En Compagnie d'Antonin Artaud (1993). ~ Sandra Brennan, All Movie Guide.
