Absolute classic movie, but maybe not for blu-ray

I got a great deal on this blu-ray that's why I bought it. If you can't get this for under $10 I would say stick with standard DVD for this one. It's a classic, and straight laughs all the way through.
I just don't see how blu-ray technology could make this movie any better.
Go with a regular DVD and save some cash.

One of the funniest and most underrated movies ever!!

I've loved Trading Places ever the since the first time I saw it some 20 yrs ago on HBO. It's just a great well-written and well-acted comedy that never fails to make me laugh. This is a movie, like 40 Yr Old Virgin, that doesn't contain ONE wasted scene. EVERY scene in this movie has something funny in it, where most comedies just don't have that kind of consistency.
And regarding how this movie looks on blu-ray, I will say: NOTHING short of spectacular!
And the "Behind the Scenes" special they included (with many brand new and older interviews from the cast and crew) in the Special Features section is great too. I highly recommend buying this movie on blu-ray.

One of My Favorites!

I love this movie! I am so happy that I finally own it! I had already seen this movie at least a dozen times before buying it. I didn't realize that the guy in the gorilla suit on the train was Jim Belushi! Only drawback was having to go through the previews before getting to the movie menu. Trading Places (Special Collector's Edition)
