Breathtaking scenery!!Good Drama!!Great Music!!

This movie shows the remarkable beauty of the Montana Countryside especially in the Billings area with excellent background western music.Set in the early 50's,it's a drama of a young daughter's persevereance of saving the family farm.The Father(Ray Baker) is hospitalized during an accident.Angry and helpless,he drinks his problems away.His wife(Christine Lahti) is fed up with her job at the diner.She longs for a new life,especially after meeting a handsome drifting Photographer(Peter Coyote).So it's up to the 14 year old daughter Anna Mae(Megan Follows),but the odds are that she will never rebuild the stacking machine to harvest the hay and to save the farm with only Buster(Frederic Forrest),the Farm hand, to assist her with the huge and tedious task.An excellent cast that includes Peter Coyote,Megan Follows,Christine Lahti,Frederic Forrest and Ray Baker.The story is outstanding in it's field.It's a reminder of many of our struggling family farmers today and how they cope with those hardships.Good Drama!!

this is a great vehicle for megan follows- her talent is amazing and this is a good story. I enjoyed the other performances as well.
