I bought this for my mom along with the Cd after we saw the Broadway production. She had never seen the film - I know OMG .. so got her this and she loves it. It's alot of fun to re-watch it again and if you loved it growing up, it's perfect for your DVD collection and you can find good sellers who have it for a couple dollars.

Awesome Movie!

I'll say up front that this movie has a lot of profanity in it, but it paints such an amazing picture of the kind of crappy situations that kids go through at highschool that the foul language is to be expected. The bad guy is evil, the good guy is misunderstood, and the female protagonist is a rebel. There's a lot of 80's dancing and styles, but this movie is still applicable to youth today.
This film teaches well the lesson of what to do when there is an unjust rule governing your society. This movie should not encourage rebellion, although if your child is not very bright then you might consider that as good reason to restrict this movie from them.

Not up to HD standards but still loved and enjoyed the film.. if your a fan go and get it just dont expect the graphics and sound to blow you away..

This is one of my all time favorites. My granddaughter wanted to see it and I could not find it in the stores so I ordered it. We have all enjoyed, several times, watching this classic.

One of the best 80s movies ever & an all time classic for any age!!!

This movie is awesome... Coming from one of the best decades ever, having an incredible soundtrack, great acting, and a unique story line- this movie is one of the best ever & will continue to be watched by every age group for years to come.
The movie brings back so many memories for me...
I still get just as excited watching it now, as I did back in the day!
Lori Singer and Kevin Bacon were perfect for the roles and what about Chris Penn's performance??? he did a superb job...
This movie never get's old and is just plain AWESOME!!!
I hope they put it on bluray disc...
