Plot: When a radio station's management announces that there's going to be an upswing in commercials on the air, with a strong emphasis on ads for the U.S. Army, the anti-establishment deejays form a united front against the suits. With station manager Jeff Dugan's (Michael Brandon) unofficial approval, the other employees hijack the station, playing the kind of music they like before the authorities can arrive. Martin Mull appears in his feature-film debut as a zoned-out record spinner. In addition, the film includes live appearances by the likes of Linda Ronstadt, Jimmy Buffett, Tom Petty, and REO Speedwagon. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

I WOULD LIKE TO REVIEW IT, HOWEVER I DID NOT RECEIVE IT. IT WAS SENT TO THE WRONG ADDRESS, EVEN AFTER I EMAILED SELLER WITH NEW ADDRESS. I WAS REFUNDED, BUT I REALLY WANTED THAT MOVIE.

FM WHEN IT WENT ROCK
Added 8/13/2009

This movie puts it out there like it was a some FM radio stations. I think the real focus was on how FM Rock Radio in California was portrayed. Of course there are the exaggerations that make it a little more acceptable. But radio people will see through it, I hope. A lot of what is in FM (the movie) yesterday is going on now from the perspective of owners and operators. Private owners who don't have to deal with corporate garbage are having a hard time today, but they still have the passion for what FM and radio really was and could still be. The fun along with the hard work was the best!

No Static At All!

I received the movie I ordered, F.M., in just a few days, even though I ordered it around the Holidays. The movie was in excellent condition. I bought it because of the Linda Ronstadt concert scene, in which she performs three songs. The rest of the movie was good. A bit slow-moving at times, but funny, with a lot of seventies rock references. Over all a great buy, especially if you are a fan of the classic Ronstadt .

I loved this movie - it brings us back to simpler times and GREAT music. It's definetly a refreshing change from the movies of today. I love the cast in this, and it was great to see REO Speedwagon appear. The movie's worth it just to see the talented and gorgeous Gary Richrath!
