"Texan by Birth, Lesbian by Grace"

Ariztical brings us Vick Shaw's standup comedy show, "You Can Take the Girl Out of Texas..." and it a laugh filled hour of great comedy. If you are not familiar with Vickie this is a great way to start. From her appearance, Vickie could be the girl next door. She is blonde, attractive and very funny and when she opens her mouth you'll just start laughing. She was married for eighteen years and has three children and then she came out when she realized that her life was not complete. When people told her that she should try standup comedy, she listened and she came out as a comic and a lesbian at the same time. She has performed everywhere in the United States and her act is seasoned and professional. She jokes about being a woman, about being a mother, about being gay and about her own life.
In "You Can Take the Girl Out of Texas", her humor is razor sharp and it is her own life that provides the material for her routine. Vickie is married to her partner, Sgt. Patch, a police woman and she is a grandmother. She is still recovering from having been born a Southern Baptist. Her timing is perfect and her jokes come fast and furiously.
