Unique Video w/ Separate Target Combinations
Added 3/8/2002

I admit, I wasn't sure about this video when I first tried it. She introduces moves by doing them half time (I never saw that technique before) and combines step with some seemingly light floor aerobics (dragging your foot doing the "attitude" step, etc.). I did not think it would give me a very good workout. Then I noticed how tired I was after working out to this video. I realized I was getting a great workout even if the moves seemed easy. What I like most about this video is that it is divided in several unique parts that focus on certain areas of the body (i.e. shoulders, thighs, back, triceps, etc.) Since there are so many completely different combinations, it does not get boring and I feel I'm getting a total body workout. The music and backdrop are a little weird (outer space scenes, etc.). Also, I'd be careful with the warmup. They do "bouncing" stretches which I've heard is unsafe (I just stretch out without the bounces). The ab routine could have been longer (that's often the case with step videos). I like the move they do for the sides of the abs. They lay on their sides and push themselves up into an arch. I've never seen that done before and it is highly effective.
