Fabulous!
Added 10/18/2009

Just what I needed. A great work-out and actually quite enjoyable. Not for the faint hearted that's for sure. This work-out makes me feel good. I was worried the first time I played the DVD, I thought I could never hope to finish the full work-out ever! But within 2 weeks I was doing the entire video and in 4 weeks I was going through the entire workout without the modifications. Of all the exercise videos I've ever bought, this one has given me my best and toughest work-out. I do it thrice a week. I highly recommend this for anyone who's hit the wall/reached a plateau and wants the scale to start shifting again.

Not hard enough, too short
Added 6/16/2009

I like Amy Dixon but I think this workout is too easy. I don't see how it could possibly burn 500 calories, even doing all the advanced moves. Plus the style of filming is annoying. I don't need artistic shots, just clean straight on video of the instructor showing the moves. It is fun and is a good enough workout for a low energy kind of day but for real results and a tough workout Jillian Michaels is a better bet.

This is GREAT!

This is the second dvd I have bought from Women's Health (Train for your Body Type) and I recommend them all the time. Amy Dixon is realistic and funny. I am trying to keep in shape after my 3rd baby in 4 years. This is worth the time and it has toned my body so quickly. I like these videos becuase I don't have to feel like I have to know an intricate routine to get a good workout. This workout takes the basics and helps you push your body. My kids actually ask to watch this over Barney. I will absolutly buy another Women's Health video in the future.

It made me sweat!
Added 5/29/2009

This is what I liked about the DVD:

1) It's short
2) It made me sweat (it takes a lot to make me sweat, an indication that this is an intense workout)
3) Amy is a good instructor
4) You can follow another instructor on screen for an easier, lower impact workout

Now for the bad news:

1) The cackling ladies in the background are annoying, shrieking at times
2) If you follow Amy, like I did, it is very high impact (I'm only 27 and very active, an exercise junkie, and I thought I might injure myself while doing this DVD)
3) Some of the moves are performed so fast (the lunges during the strength portion, for example) that it would be hard to perform them safely and effectively, especially for a beginner.

not for women for 60
Added 4/13/2009

I workout daily with the Leslie Sansone videos. I was ready for something more intense but certeainly not this. I am 60, have had 2 knee surgeries 4 years ago and thought I was really doing well. This exercise is delifinely for women younger than myself. I wish I would have had something like this at 40 or even 50, but definetly not at 60.
