Tinker Bell
Added 11/5/2009
We are waiting to give this movie for Christmas, so we haven't watched it. However, after inspecting it the dvd as well as the case are both in excellent condition. We did wait about 2 weeks from the time we ordered the movie until we received it. Not sure why it took so long.

best female protagonist in a Disney feature...ever!
Added 11/3/2009
I never gave much thought to the female protagonists in Disney animated movies until I had children. Since then, it's hard to believe it took THIS LONG for Disney to develop a strong, admirable female lead for their animation franchise. When our family first watched this film, I thought it was a little cheesy, but, by the second viewing, really loved the film. The writers don't dumb things down for their audience, which I appreciate (my girls know what "elucidate" means because of this movie!) and the overall theme is really wonderful for girls of any age, but especially preschoolers. Tinker Bell is hardworking, creative, strong-willed, and a true inventor. There's a brief lovey moment with a boy fairy, Terrance, but this is a girl-centric Disney movie with NO ROMANCE! It is fantastic! There's no prince to rescue her, no damsel-in-distress scenario here -- Tinker Bell can figure things out for herself, and, happily, does.

A Fantastic Movie
Added 11/2/2009
his was a wonderful movie! I think it was as good as anything Disney has done in last 15 years. What really set this apart from most of the DVD fare is the incredible score, with music from Loreena McKennit! I could really relate to Tink's desire to find who she is and why. I looked everywhere for MY Talent, and it's taken a long time for me to really be happy with myself just the way I am. That's one of the most important and easily forgotten things you can learn in your life, and I'm glad to see that in any movie... Just enjoy it for what it is, and believe again.

the take home message in this movie is AWFUL
Added 11/4/2009
It is VERY pretty, but basically what would a kid learn from watching this thing? That you should lie, convince your friends to steal for you, never admit when you do something wrong, treat your friends like crap & it's okay. In fact you will celebrated!
Tinkerbell treats her good friends badly because she gets frustrated. She breaks a priceless heirloom and then un-friends a friend because he won't steal for her so she can go off on some crazy scheme to fix it. She blows the chance of fixing the damn heirloom cause she once again treats a friend like crap. She never admits that she broke the priceless heirloom but manages after the friend does steal for her to magically create something so fabulous that everyone is overjoyed.
I hate the message in this movie. Hated it.

Way Better Then The First !!!!!!!!!!
Added 11/4/2009
Adventure, friendship, and a whole lot of fun! A family movie you will enjoy and want to share with others! Its for the young and the young at heart, a must have, must own DVD or Blu Ray even if your not a Disney movie collector! Tinker Bell the original movie was OK but the sequel Tinker Bell And The Lost Treasure is way better then the first! I just loved it and so did the little ones, it's a new family favorite ! Not many sequels are worth the watch but Disney has topped the cake with this one, a fine piece of work! New characters and all the old ones you loved and adored in the first original one! Just simply adorable, cute, sweet and beautiful to look at. A movie that's more entertaining then the first! Another masterpiece Disney has on their hands and made apart of their collection! I hope you enjoy it as much as my family and I have!

80 Minutes of silence with a good message!
Added 11/3/2009
I have two young daughters who both loved the first Tinkerbell, especially my 2 year old, so I got this last night hoping it would be as big of a hit as the first one. My 4 year old sat through the whole thing without budging, and my 2 year old kept telling Daddy "I love you" while she watched it (overly appreciative toddler FTW!). Both girls got giggles from parts of the movie. My youngest apparently laughed every time Tink counts.
This movie is on par with the first one in regards to the visuals and music, but I think the message is much better this time around. I also like that Terrence is more involved in this film, and Blaze is just as cute as can be. I'm still out on my opinion of Tinks new outfit. My kids seem to like it though. The "scenes you never saw" are absolutely hilarious and frankly almost better than the movie itself.
And if anyone from Disney reads these I know some little girls who would LOVE more about Silvermist, Iridessa, Fawn, and Rosetta too. ;)
