Plot: A workaholic architect, frustrated in his job but determined to make a better life for his family, is bestowed with a powerful universal remote that allows him more control over his life than he ever knew possible in director Frank Coraci's high-concept fantasy comedy. On the surface, Michael Newman (Adam Sandler) seems to have it all, yet with all the demands forced upon him by his ungrateful boss (David Hasselhoff), Michael finds that setting aside time to spend with his loving wife, Donna (Kate Beckinsale), and two picture-perfect children, Ben (Joseph Castanon) and Samantha (Tatum McCann), has grown increasingly difficult. When a frustrating bout with the television remote leads the overworked husband and father to a nearby Bed, Bath & Beyond in search of a universal remote with the power to control all of his electronic devices, a curious peek into the back room leads Michael into the company of eccentric employee and talented inventor Morty (Christopher Walken). It seems that Morty has created a device that will not only allow Michael complete control over his television and stereo, but his entire life as well. As Michael discovers that the remarkable device has the power to muffle the barks of the family dog, zoom himself past an irritating quarrel with his wife, and even allow him to travel back and forth through time to different points in his life, the rush of being able to skip straight to the good parts in life soon leaves him feeling as if he's missing out on the total experience. Only when Michael begins to realize that the he has lost control of his life and the remote is now programming him does he finally learn that life is as much about the moments he'd rather forget as it is the moments he will always remember. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

Frank Capra ("It's A Wonderful Life," "It Happened One Night"), meet Adam Sandler. Many movies with low humor strive to have a heart (e.g., the entire "American Pie" series), but most seem like they're trying too hard to have it both ways. "Click" actually succeeds in finding that right middle ground. It also helps that it works from a clever premise and explores its possibilities quite nicely.

Sandler, entering middle age begrudgingly and incorporating what he has learned from his dramatic turns in "Punch-Drunk Love" and "Spanglish," tries tapping into a more universal theme (workaholic needs to learn that his family is more important than his job) and entertain his core audience at the same time. Like the movie itself, he pulls it off. Thanks in no small part to a strong supporting cast--led by Kate Beckinsale as his long-suffering wife; Christopher Walken as an unusual angel in disguise who provides him with a universal remote that can control much more than his appliances, and gives him warnings about it that go unheeded; Jennifer Coolidge as a philandering, self-absorbed family friend; Julie Kavner (the voice of Marge Simpson) and Henry Winkler as his parents; and yes, even David Hasselhoff (who seems to be having even more fun poking fun at himself these days than William Shatner) as his clueless boss, among others--and some astute soundtrack choices at key moments, "Click" is one of those rare movies that finds a balance between comedy and drama: It tickles your ribs by appealing to the side of you that still laughs at juvenile absurdity while also appealing to the side of you that has had no choice but to grow up and face the numbing, endless stressors of grown-up life.

Ok, there are enough reviews here so I'm going to keep it short and simple.

I never thought I'd say this about an Adam Sandler movie... this movie makes you think and reevaluate your life.

difficult times are the best times of our lives... don't fast forward it!

It's all in the title! I don't want to ruin the movie (if you have not watched it by now). We have everything we need, right here; right this moment no matter how hard it is as long as we have our loved ones!

Mr. Opera man is awesome like always, and Christopher Walken is right there as well. It can't get any better!

mixed emotions

You'll finish this flick with mixed emotions, but definitely like it. Basically, Click is your typical hilarious guy's movie with a great plot that takes a turn for the worse and becomes a sad chick movie. It's the perfect call if you date bipolar women
