Big Box Shopping Club Cuteness
Added 1/7/2009
Meant to be a feel good, nice, nice, nice comedy, it oozes with cuteness and it should really improve the public image of employers such as B.J.'s, Sam's Club and CostCo. It's THAT cute. It's a heartwarming and, indeed, therapeutic viewing experience, watching these young, super-dedicated employees, competing for the employee of the month designation - and the winner gets the car and he could get the girl too.
There is no violence, there is lots of friendship and team work all-over, because both the good guys and the bad guys are team players. The bosses are a little bit demanding but fair and the few illegalities or immoral activities are so mild, they should make us laugh rather than outrage us. In the end, the good guy wins, of course and the not so good guy is humiliated and properly but not severely punished. We are led to believe that all the personal dramas the good guys were experiencing are solved or on their path toward solving and some of those who did not fall asleep or did not walk away might end the viewing with a little smile on their faces.
This shouldn't be on anyone's must-have movies shopping list but those interested to see what might be going behind the scenes inside those mysterious big-box shopping clubs that charge members annual fees for the privilege of being allowed to buy super-family-sized snack boxes and a discount may find the viewing experience tolerable.

Fun and Romantic!
Added 1/14/2008
I really enjoyed this film. Some un-avoidable corn-dog jokes here and there, but besides that; the movie was fun. The cast is great, the story it self was laid out and paced very well. Jessica Simpsons performance was also on par as the rest of the cast, which is great; since the movie is hung in the balance of her performance (since the two main characters are fighting for her!). Classic and hilarious story about two men fighting for the office (not technically) hottie!

Seriously...I didn't like Dane Cook to begin with, but now..I'll never get those minutes back. I'm ashamed. But I guess Jessica is pretty hot.

Underated. Very good movie.

Even though Jessica Simpson is smoking hot.. I didn't rate this movie on that fact. This movie reminded me of those feel good movies of the 80s, where "yes", the good guy wins in the end. Yes, this movie was somewhat predictable, but alot of movies nowa dayz are as well..that's not really the point. It's simple, funny, and has an actual plot (something missing in most movies released 2day).

I've Seen Better.
Added 10/26/2009
I went movie shopping at WAL-MART and this was one of the movies. I watched this movie, and I thought it was better than a lot of movies I seen, but not the best. it's an ok movie, with good but what was the point in it? It wasn't a horrible movie but good thing this movie was only $7.50 cause I would have never spent more on it.

A funny concept, but execution is flawed
Added 7/9/2009
Did they have to film Jessica Simpson in brief snippets because her acting skills are all but nil? She displays almost no ability to emote here, and appears to have but one speed at most. Still, they get the details almost correct of what it must be like to work at a Sam's Club-like superstore where perfection leads to the meaningless title of employee of the month, or in this case, the winner of a perfectly dull almost new Chevy Malibu or some such. The action flags severely in the middle, but this has some nice moments. Actually kind of funny for a comedy.

An Underated Comic Masterpiece
Added 6/11/2009
There aren't many movies that I find this funny, and this is one my favorites. A very clever script with cute humor and funny visuals that parody big budget pictures. The actors are fantastic.
The movie is about a microcosm of society inside a big super store. The pecking order goes something like this: 1. Store manager on top, 2. Checkout clerks, and 3. Box boys (the bottom feeders). The lead checkout person is the alpha male in the store. He has been the uncontested "Employee of the Month" so many times, he is only one month away from winning a grand prize car with "pleather" (better than leather). But, not so fast! - "Alpha" meets his match in the form of a box boy nemesis! "Box Boy" wants the EOM award, so that he, too, can get into the checker's lounge. Lacking the status to get into the checker's lounge, the bottom feeders make do with a secret makeshift lounge they've built amongst stacks of boxes.
Very funny and good natured.
