Plot: In a future where society has come full circle and man lives by the code of the cowboy, a fugitive, a vengeful son, a killer, and a shifty servant stand in a four-way face-off from which only one man can walk away. To the east lies seven boomtowns connected by railroad, and to the west is a Utopian community that cowers in fear of the outside world. Dividing these two areas is an arid stretch of desert known only as The Badlands. Few who go into the Badlands are ever seen again, and when The Nomad is cast out from his hometown in the west he vows never to let a living soul reach Utopia. For twelve long years The Nomad has wandered the desert plotting a path back home, and he's taking his trusty horse with him. But before The Nomad gets home he'll have to contend with The Entrepreneur. The Entrepreneur is the son of the wealthiest man in the east - a recently murdered railroad baron. He's out to avenge his father's death and take over that lucrative Railroad Empire by force, but he doesn't realize that his trusted servant has recently stricken a deal with The Criminal a serpentine killer who stole The Nomad's horse and killed The Entreprenuer's father. Now, these four gunmen stand facing one another with their fingers on their triggers, their fates won't be known until the gun smoke clears. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

I have been waiting to see the Six Reasons Why film for quite some time. I must say it was a great result, I loved the way the film was shot, truly resourceful.

We'll be seeing more of the Campagna Duo I'm sure of it.

Highly reccommended purchase.

Six Reasons Why is a waste of time and money.

Six Reasons Why is a waste of time.
I could not get into the story, and the actors are amateurs (except for Colm Feore).
The movie is being touted as an example of indie filmmaking in the tradition of the Coen brothers.
The Coen brothers put out quality product from the start.
Save your time and money for something worthwhile.

The Gunslinger meets Spaghetti Westerns
Added 7/31/2008

Six Reasons Why is a Western/Fantasy amalgamation, which you could easily call a cross between Stephen King's The Gunslinger, and the spaghetti western, The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. On many levels, this movie thrives and succeeds. The cinematography is brilliant for such a low budget flick, and the story telling is paced well. There are no lulls or dead spots, and no unnecessary scenes or dialogue. It is this bare bones story telling style that holds your attention, and ultimately carries Six Reasons Why into the realm of a memorable film. The one thing holding this film back from reaching its potential is acting. While the acting is often very serviceable, it often wavers on the over-dramatic side, and occasionally, albeit infrequently, crumbles into mediocrity. If you like King's Gunslinger, or are a fan of spaghetti westerns, Six Reasons Why is worth viewing.

Seemed like it was filmed in slow motion
Added 7/24/2008

This was the slowest most drawn out movie I've ever seen. The story is about a wandering desperado who, while riding a horse and carrying a six gun, is really living in the future. He's been given a quest by a preacher which is the hint that he's suppose to be a good guy out to get the bad guys in the bad lands. There wasn't any twist to that in mind. The film never grips you and the best thing that I can say is that since I rented this, I could turn it off without having to leave my seat. The acting is poor and the filming gives this movie more of an amateur feel than a indie film. If you want to do yourself a favor, skip this movie and rent a sleeper like In Bruges.
