Having already seen the entire series online, I knew the episodes themselves were guaranteed to be good. But the picture quality on the computer was less than perfect. Now that I have the series on DVD, I can see everything quite clearly, and even the sound quality is better.

Great writing, great production value, low cost

This series of the newly revamped Dr. Who is excellent. The writing is solid and the acting is bar none. If you already know Dr. Who and have been following the series, do yourself a favour and pick up #4. It is well worth the money.

There's no one like the doctor

The doctor is in, and this series proves that while not all is always well with the universe, all is solid with the doctor. David Tennant as the doctor and Catherine Tate as his travel companion both give strong performances that sometimes are most endearing. His performance is nothing short of brilliant, and Catherine Tate proves to be his perfect compliment.
These adventures seamlessly interweave pertinent details from previous series with an element of surprise or two. If you missed these details while watching on television, the DVDs give an opportunity to pour over them anew. The writing is excellent, but I'd expect nothing less. This series is not to be missed.

Doctor Who: The Complete Fourth Season

I bought this set for my husband who had always been a Dr. Who fan. And, he loved it! We don't get the newest version in the US. So he had not seen this doctor before. It was a nice surprise for him.

Excellent entertainment

Pure "Who" - the only problem with this set is that there aren't twice as many episodes. Tennant is the best Doctor since Tom Baker. And the world would have been a poorer place without Donna, the everywoman with a heart of gold and an attitude that'd take paint off a building at 50 yards. This set is a "must have" for any fan.
