For Twin Peaks & Sheryl Lee fans
Added 12/22/2008
I bought it on VHS recently for a buck and it's mainly worth watching for Sheryl Lee (Fiona) who played Laura Palmer on David Lynch's Twin Peaks. She plays a very sensual, similar character to Palmer in this 1997 film. I enjoyed the soundtrack by Angelo Badalamenti whose score resembles his compositions on Twin Peaks. The best musical score is during the main credits at the beginning, it's haunting and beautiful. Other than that the plot is not that great, I found myself forwarding a couple of times. Again, Sheryl is alluring in the movie, you won't be disappointed.

This is not a film that will turn most people on... It is focused on hippies and their perspective, which at times bombs on Christianity. It is an odd movie mixing sexuality with perversion. Not the worst I've seen, but in the lower 25%

A Waste of Time Indeed . . .

I find Charles Dance to be an interesting actor, but truly this is one of the dumbest films I've seen in years. My time would have been better spent outside washing my truck. You get a better sense of love, romance, and sex from an episode of EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND.

A Rich Delight!

I lush film of great intensity and subtlty. The relationships are intricate, and developed with admirable depth, particularly the character portrayed by Charles Dance, who combines passion with warmth, sensitivity and whimsy, and reveals the inner thoughts of the character to the audience with convincing candor- enough, but not TOO MUCH! A visual delight- a memorable adventure!!!

Waste of Time

Two couples come together in a romantic sort of Tuscan setting and have off-camera sex. Hijinks follow. All four characters are thin and uninteresting, so the "climax" just leaves the viewer uninterested and wishing there were something more to the film. The visuals, the countryside and buildings, are sort of catchy, but the characters and plot are hollow. Two good hours wasted.
