Plot: This expensively wrought TV movie was the sequel to the 1984 offering Ewok Adventure, which in turn was inspired by those furry little extraterrestrials introduced in the 1983 theatrical feature Return of the Jedi. On the forest moon of Endor, a little girl (Aubree Miller) is protected by the Ewoks -- and by human hermit Noa (Wilfred Brimley) -- against such enemies as space-witch Charal (Sian Phillips). Like all previous chapters in the Ewok saga, The Battle for Endor was executive-produced by George Lucas. And, like Ewok Adventure, the film copped an Emmy nomination. First telecast November 24, 1985, Ewoks: The Battle for Endor was preceded two months earlier by the animated Saturday-morning series The Ewoks, which later evolved into The Ewoks and Star Wars Droids Adventure Hour. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

Battle for Endor

I watched this movie because my cousin was hooked on it when I was 6 years old, and now that I'm 28 it still has the same charm and cuteness that it always has. The characters are very cute in the movie and I think it is a great movie for kids maybe 5 or 6 and above to watch, it does have some rather creepy looking characters in it that may freak smaller kids out. But even as an adult I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!

I barely saw Battle for Endor, and i say to you get it
because the story is a good one. It has heart. I think you
will fall in love with the Ewoks, especially the main Ewok
who interacts with the little girl who must get to her home planet. "Yub Yub "(Ewok, Battle for Endor). Yes, absolutely 5 stars.

I have always been a fan of all things star wars. my friends and I even try to guess what the story in episode 3 will be like. The ewok movies were really really good. the best part of Return of the Jedi was the ewoks. Both of the ewok movies were fun, cute, and even a little bit scarry. I wish the family didn't have to die in the second movie. The only problem now is that we have to rent them from the video store. Not many video stores still have the movies, and if they do, they aren't exactly in good condition. that just goes to show people literally "loved" these movies to death. It would be nice to have the controle of the movies like a DVD, and to be able to have my own copy to keep forever would be nice too. i just think it would be a shame to not re release this movie that so many people very obviously show interest in. i saw the other reviews. I took the time to write this. Besides, Mr. Lucas has a lot of money anyway. The release of these movies on DVD may not bring in as much money as the others, but I think he would at the very least break even and please a lot of fans by doing it. Money is a nice motivator, but sometimes the fans alone should motivate you too. Kevin Smith makes money off his movies, and these would make more than Clerks or Mall Ratts. George Lucas would find that humerous.

Come On Mr. Lucas! Give Us Some Ewok DVD's!
Added 5/17/2004

I've been a fan of Star Wars since before I was born(No, really. My mother took my brother and sister to see it in the theater in summer of '77 when she was pregnant with me, and I swear it was subliminally driven into my psyche as a fetus!), and I loved the ewok movies. I have both VHS releases and am anxiously waiting for Mr. George "Emperor Of All Things Star Wars" Lucas to get off his @$$ and release these under-rated and underappreciated film gems on the ultimate home entertainment format, DVD!
