Plot: This story is taken from the real-life marriage of two people in the early 1960s. Helen North (Lucille Ball) is a widow with eight children who falls in love with Naval officer Frank Beardsley (Henry Fonda), a widower with ten children of his own. The two marry as comedy ensues from the sheer numbers and diverse age groups of the offspring. Narration is used in the first half of the film to help set the stage for the impending nuptials. Van Johnson is the mutual friend who brings the couple together. Tom Bosley plays the harried doctor who makes a house call and finds almost two dozen patients under one roof. The newlyweds are soon off to the hospital when Helen becomes pregnant with the couple's first child in this amusing family comedy. ~ Dan Pavlides, All Movie Guide

This is a real feel good movie.
Imagine twenty one children? Well, you will after seeing this hilarious movie.
My favorite scene is where the future husband's sons get Lucille Ball drunk. That scene is just hilarious and she plays her role so well.
Watch this and learn how to not take everything so serious, relax and enjoy.

Totally enjoyable- Lucy is Lucy and Henry Fonda plays to her comedic genius wonderfully. The story is wonderful and funny and enjoyable. It is wonderful way to spend 1.5 hour. I recommend it to anyone and have watched it several times within the month I have owned it.

Not even the Dennis Quaid remake can top this classic movie. Henry Fonda and Lucille Ball are priceless in this true story. It's worth watching over and over again. When two large families merge into one there has to be all kinds of problems that have to be addressed. The humorous and sobering side of life are handled in this film and lessons can be learned no matter the person's age. Like I said earlier, this original film cannot be out done. It's classic and worth having in your video collection.

No-one wants to watch movies in FOOLSCREEN, well, Some Do and that's the reason why those of us who like WIDESCREEN are paying the price.

These Moron DVD companies need to start putting movies in their ORIGINAL ASPECT RATIOS, The days of Lying to people and giving them The FOOLSCREEN versions is Long gone. If i want FOOLSCREEN i'll watch TV.
As long as people keep buying GARBAGE, DVD companies will keep selling it.
People think that when they watch a WIDESCREEN movie the Top and Bottom of the of the picture are being Cut Off by the Black Lines, The Top and Bottom aren't what's missing, The Sides are. When will you people FIGURE that out. For those of you who haven't PLEASE go to....

Widescreen VS Letterbox VS Pan and Scan

This is a Video Short, from (Turner Classic Movies) Explained by 4 Legendary Directors about the difference between Wide and Fullscreen.
All 4 of these Directors, BTW, hate Fullscreen, because it ReDirects their Films.

Yours, Mine and Ours 1968, Aspect Ratio is 2.35:1, This means thet close to 40% of the movie is GONE, or what i like to call--Readers Digested.

As Edmond Gauthier wrote
QUOTE-It's been butchered down from Widescreen to Standard Screen for no reason whatsoever.QUOTE

As i've said before
I have 5 Conditions when buying DVD Movies and Box Sets

1. Movies MUST be WIDESCREEN, Complete and Uncut

2. TV Shows MUST be COMPLETE

3. TV Shows MUST be UNCUT, Just because it says COMPLETE doesn't mean it's UNCUT. See ALL 4 Seasons of ALF, Father of the Pride, Season 1 of Rosanne, ALL 5 Seasons of Two and a Half Men-One of the eason 1 episodes was only 18:30.
