Plot: This low-budget cult classic horror spoof has one of the great movie titles of all time. Mike (Grant Cramer) and his sweetheart, Debbie (Suzanne Snyder), are smooching on lover's lane when they see what appears to be a meteorite crashing over the horizon. They loosen their liplock long enough to investigate and find a curious circus tent. There they discover malevolent clowns who stop their victims with popcorn-shooting guns and acid-drenched pies in order to feast on human blood. The unfortunates are then entombed into inescapable cotton-candy cocoons. Officer Dave Hanson (John Allen Nelson) is called to investigate with help from Officer Mooney (John Vernon). For those viewers who already think clowns are a little creepy to begin with, this one will push them over the edge. ~ Dan Pavlides, All Movie Guide

about this movie. Those people are obviously uptight with no sense of humor. This movie is fun and ridiculous but creepy at the same time. It's a great low budget film and is a cult classic. It deserves 5 stars. In no other movie will you find clowns uglier and scarier than in this movie.

Yep. Hard to tell if it is serious or what. Closer to the serious part. Because the clowns are kind of eerie. Brings back memories of girls with big hair!!!

The best hoax ever?

Basically, lots of folks started talking about how honest to God awful this movie is, and how they were going to troll everyone before trolling was invented by saying it is the best scary movie ever.

It's fairly epic that most of the reviews place this movie as a 4+ star ride of awesome, but honestly, it isn't, every single good review managed to think this movie is great because they were tricked by someone else.

The power of suggestion over human minds is pretty powerful, as I myself have partaken in this joke, and this is the only place you'll find a review by me that's honest in relation to how terrible this movie is, from the effects to the acting to the actual plot.

A grade A stinker that nobody should watch, but everyone should tell someone else to see it for it's 5 stars of greatness!

Welcome to the most bizarre circus in town
Added 7/11/2009

Released in 1988 Killer Klowns from Outer Space gives you a 50's style drive in quality that nothing can match. It is simply one of the most bizarre films (in a good way) I have seen in my history of film watching. It's one of those movies that's best seen after midnight on tv during those countless hours of strange programming. Thanks to some stellar b writing by Charles & Edward Chiodo we have been given one of horror/sci-fi's best b efforts to date.

We start off when a group of aliens, that resemble earth's version of clowns, land in the town of Crescent Cove. Once they have landed in the middle of the woods the ship takes the form of a circus tent. Our main characters Mike and Debbie are out on a date and stumble across the hidden tent. Since they think it's strange that a circus is held in the middle of nowhere they decide to check it out. While they're poking around they run into our giant headed clown friends that shoot at them with a popcorn bazooka, barely escaping.

Once back into town they go to the police with their strange discovery but kid hating Sgt. Mooney thinks they're on drugs pulling some prank. Shortly after the clowns make their way through Crescent Cove and begin capturing the townspeople turning them into cotton candy cocoons. Once it becomes known something's wrong Mike and friends take action by going back to the tent for a final showdown with the aliens. Unfortunately they have to face a hidden giant clown, but manage to get out alive.

Killer Klowns from Outer Space has everything I look for in a campy b movie. It really is one of the essentials sitting high on my list of films in the category of "so bad it's good." I couldn't imagine someone watching this and not getting a kick out of it. Just by looking at it you'd have to know to expect nothing more then a over the top horror-comedy. I 100% recommend this one to the fans in the world of b. Odds are you've seen it already, but if not then check it out as soon as possible.
