Really funny movie!

I love this movie and I can't get enough of it. I was really excited to see Amazon had it so cheap! I've been meaning to own it for a while. There are so many amazing actors in it and the writing is perfect, making it the perfect comedy for anyone with a morbid sense of humor!

Will Arnett Fan
Added 1/7/2009
I try to add all the Arnett movies to my collection as they become available as I have been a fan of his since Arrested Development. Let's Go To Prison is a good one for those who appreciate this actor/comedian and his genius.

Fantasic Flick! Laughed my tail off from beginning to end. I have some experience with the dept of Corrections, and really understood the humor. I was surprised at how many things they added (toilet cabernet, cell decorations) etc. From the poor publicity I didn't expect much, surprise!! I'd rate this movie 5 stars +, true genious!Let's Go to Prison (Rated & Unrated Versions)053803: Life at Fifteen

Bob Odenkirk Fan's Beware
Added 11/17/2009
This movie was horrible. Mr. Show fans should avoid at all costs. The flick was annoyingly sweet and cutesy. And like all annoyingly sweet comedies of today, it tries to balance it out with alot of crude sexual and racial humor...probably as a draw for the "fellas."
I almost made it all the way through in one sitting until the end where there's a 4 minute scene of various people looking in the sky and reading a "hilariously" verbose sky banner. The only redemption of this movie would be if everyone died at the end.
It has been sad to see Bob Odenkirk evolve from a legendary comedic writer/performer into a director of crappy flicks. I can't hate the guy because he has to eat but have some dignity for Christ's sake.
I remember seeing Melvin Goes to Dinner. And that is all I remember.

Usual stupid comedy
Added 8/14/2009
Like most modern comedies, this film aims to be senseless, absurd and go for the easy laugh. This film stars 2 obnoxious characters who are blind to the fact they are losers. The writer was probably going for "Dumb & Dumber", but there's very little likable about them. 99% of the comedy comes from the fact they are pathetic and disturbing. It gets old quick. Arnett and Forte compliment eachother because they can both be mildly funny. But this script, written by Forte, just sucks.
I can only think of ONE funny, actually BRILLIANT, gag and you'll know what it is if you watch it. It happens very late in the movie. I'm disappointed that this was directed by Bob Odenkirk who is a very funny talent. Kudos to Kristen Wig as the competent straight woman to the two lame title characters.
Worth a watch to see how lame comedians are these days and for a few surprising laughs.

Much better than I thought it would be.
Added 2/22/2009
Normally, I hate these types of comedies, finding them to be too stupid to sit through. I happened across this movie by chance earlier tonight, and something made me stop and watch it. There were a couple of times when I turned away, but I found myself turning back to it, and actually starting to care about what happened. I even found myself smiling at the end, which was unexpected! For a stupid, run-of-the-mill modern comedy, this was pretty good. It's not ever going to be on my list of favorites, but I would not be adverse to watching it again. Good for those times when I don't really want to think too hard about what I am watching, but I still want to feel good at the end of it.
