Not a bad comedy

Remember the kid from 'Christine'? Well he's the star of this flick along with his bespectacled, stuttering nerd sidekick. On the first day of school they sabotage the school with roman candles, wrong signs and numbers on the doors, adjusting sprinkler timers, and letting pigs loose in the library. All while to Twisted Sister's "Be Crool to your Scheul".

Thier principal (Dick Van Patten) suspends them for two weeks. SO on the way home they sabotage a construction crew. This lands them in jail and the judge (Sherman Hemsley) orders them to one year at Kirkland Military Academy.

Well you can see where this goes. They continue to pull their hijinks, but Wally Ward decides to straighten out. He pins on corporal and has a love interest. Meanwhile the ranking cadet (George Cloony) is a cleptomaniac because he wants his father's attention. His father just happens to be a brigadier general and commandant of the school. Richard Moll also plays a LtCol with a few screws loose. Klinger from MASH is along for the ride as second in command at the school.

A class of Russian cadets are invited for a War Games and when it ends with a ridiculously stupid speech by 'the Christine kid', they decide peace is better than fighting.

This movie has a few laughs but no real gut-busters. It's your typical 80's comedy and that's a good thing.

An excellent all-star comedy with pranks galore!!

This late 80's movie is from the same man who bought you"Police Academy" and "Bachelor Party".It contains a classic all-star cast including George Clooney("ER"),Robert Culp("I SPY"),Sherman Helmsley("The Jefferson"),Jamie Farr("Mash"),Bernie Kopell("The Loveboat"),Keith Gordon("Back To School"),Richard Moll("Night Court"),John Ratzenberger("Cheers") and Dick Van Patten("Eight is Enough").To atone for their sinful pranks,a wise cracking hipster(Keith Gordon") and a stuttering nerd("Wally Ward") are sentenced to "Kirkland Military Academy" to be disciplined and reformed, but you can never change them for their obnoxious prankish flair. The 2 soon turn "Combat Academy" inside out with their disobedient, hilarious pranks and when they have a mock battle with their "Russian" counterparts, they redefine the term "War Games".It's sort of reminiscent of an earlier 80's movie"Stripes" starring Bill Murray. This is an excellent comedy well worth watching!!

This is a very differnet take on the military school life. It is funny, entertaining, and creates laughs. For such a cheap price, you can not lose.
