The Last Fling is a sweet little movie for the romantic in everyone!
Added 12/23/2005
John Ritter is divorce attorney Phil Reed, a guy who's finally fed up with one-night stands and ready for the real thing. In a chance meeting at the zoo, he finds -- and falls for -- his Miss Right in Connie Sellecca's Marsha who, unbeknownst to Phil, is engaged to someone else.
During a romantic weekend in Mexico that's supposed to be her "last fling" before the wedding, (something her obnoxious fiancee, played by John Bennett Perry, is also doing), Marsha, who's real name is Gloria, rediscovers a spontaneous, carefree part of herself she never knew she'd lost. She also finds herself in love with Phil. Confused, she does the only thing she can do...she runs away!
When Phil wakes to find her gone, his poignant reaction to her tearful video taped confession and farewell resonates deeply, and you'll find your heart breaking right along with his. But now that he has found her, he can't just give her up. Desperately in love, he'll do whatever it takes to stop the wedding before it's too late...if only he can figure out who she really is!
John Ritter's tremendous gift for comedy is tempered here by the depth of emotion he reveals, and this wonderful movie is proof positive that he's very good at both! Scott Bakula is great as his cynical law partner, and as his long-suffering neighbor, Paul Sand is a hoot!
If only they'd release it on DVD!!!

One actor in this film who fails to get mention is Scott Bakula. Both he and Ritter do a wonderful job bouncing off each other and their scenes are enjoyable to watch.
