Pineapple Express-Saw it on Cable. Not too funny, kinda bad Black Comedy.
Added 10/23/2009

The movie is long, At times funny, and Not entirely a stoner film per se, but pretty much bland. At least Cheech & Chong Is funny(I Don't do Drugs myself-which has nothing to do with it). But The movie plot is dumb. Don't see what the big deal is. I do have to hand it to Craig Robinson He is funny.

not what I expected to see
Added 10/17/2009

Expected it to be a very bad film when I saw the beginning of it. I disliked it so much. But I continued to watch the movie from the second try. And it turned out to be good & very funny film. I gave it a try and liked a lot. It was worth watching.

Mindless Drug Movie for Mindless Drug Users
Added 6/16/2009

Another dumb movie that tries to pick up where Half-Baked left off. It's about some mindless guys who do nothing but smoke pot from the beginning of the movie to the end.

So if you are a mindless pot-smoking viewer with nothing better to do with your life, you will like it.

If you are troubled by movies like this which trivialize and downplay the big problem of drug use in our society, or agree that it makes drug use seem like a cool thing to do without regard to the life-changing consequences, you will want to pass on this junk.

Pineapple Express rocks with a message
Added 5/15/2009

The film is smart and hilarious, but there is an underlying message. Contrary to what we hear, this movie does not set out to valorize dope smoking and irresponsible behavior, but points up how much trouble you can get into when you forget to be a citizen. Wonderful performances from Seth Rogen and James Franco (especially if you loved them as kids in "Freaks and Geeks") and lots of fun and something to think about at the end of it.

ONE OF THE GREATEST STONER COMEDIES EVER MADE!
Added 3/3/2009

'Pineapple Express' is one of the funniest films I've seen in a long time. Seth Rogen and James Franco has cemented themselves as two of the great screen "stoners" in the history of film! Yes, Jeff Spicoli and Cheech & Chong now have some stiff competition for the best "stoners" ever put on screen! Absurd and brilliant, Pineapple Express' is a fantastic and funny film! The two disc DVD edition has both theatrical and unrated versions and a ton of extras stuff including commentary making of, deleted and alternate scenes and a gag reel!

funny movie
Added 10/31/2009

Have watched a lot of comedies recently that didn't keep my attention but the time flew with this movie. Great characters, funny lines (I'm still quoting some), and an excellent cast. Highly recommend.

Huh ???
Added 10/28/2009

I simply cannot believe how the critics frothed over this unfunny garbage. I felt so ripped off that I decided I would boycott that movie review TV show 'At The Movies' --- they couldn't praise this movie enough. Both my girlfriend and I almost walked out of the theater, but we stuck it out. When the credits rolled we both looked at each other like, "Huh???"
