The red army faction/ Baader-Meinhof Group comes to New York?
Added 10/27/2009
In the 80's international terrorism was new and so was Sylvester Stallone.
You can't say the movie is very good, it is just a pioneer
of American cops fighting terrorism
on their home turf.
The mid-set taught by the British agent is that used by them pretty unsuccessfully
against the IRA, and here doesn't work
very well either.
The target here is the UN community in New York
and the financial community on Wall street.
The world trade buildings were a part of the international trade
community in New York, so it appears no one took the
movie very seriously?
Here two young undercover / decoy detectives are drafted against their will
into a terrorist unit.
The end results in the movie are good.

I like it

As I already had said, I LIKE IT!
It is really a classic of anti-terro movies produced ages ago, clever foresaw events of the present.
Nice actions, handsome actors, professional work.
Highly recommended!

Excellent Trio Makes This A Top-Notch Thriller
Added 3/27/2009
This Sylvester Stallone movie may be his best because, unlike most of his subsequent more famous roles over the years, this story is very believable. He isn't "Rambo" or "Rocky"....just a tough New York City cop.
Stallone and partner Billy Dee Williams team up in an attempt to stop a terrifying international terrorist (Rutger Hauer) before he kills more people. All three of those actors are riveting in this rough, gritty film.
I thought so much of this movie that I bought it twice. The first DVD that came out was fullscreen, no stereo and grainy. Later, they issued this better widescreen print and it was well worth purchasing.
It might be a cliché but this film always "keeps me on the edge of my seat," even though I know what's going to happen.

Night Hawk the movie
Added 3/16/2009
this was the first R rated movie that I saw when I was a wee lade. The movies is a little corny but the topic is now in the news who would believe. Sylvesier Starllone is better here then most files he has done.

Good action flick
Added 2/8/2009
Good old fashioned "good guys vs. bad guys" movie. Its a simple movie that isn't dumb and thats saying a lot for a Stallone movie. Rutger Hauer's character is wonderfully despicable, evil and rotten. Hauer's character is the reason why the movie is good, you want to hang around and see him get a well deserved comeuppance. Stallone does a good job playing a character that isn't a parody of Rambo (the movie was made before Rambo). Stallone should consider making a sequel, playing this tough believable character.
