GIVE ME A BREAK !
Added 2/20/2007
I BOUGHT THIS TAPE THINKING IT WAS TWIGHT ZONE EPISODES BUT IT IS SOME OF THE WORST TRASH I HAVE EVER SEEN. ROD SERLING'S IDEAS WERE STOLEN AND REDONE INTO GARBAGE. I DON'T KNOW SPIELBERG AND WARNER BROS CAN GET AWAY WITH THIS CRIME. I HAVE BURNED MY COPY !

Slow and falls short
Added 2/11/2007
As a longtime fan of the original TV series, I was hoping great things from this movie. Unfortunately, what we had as a poor remake of one episode and poor imitations of the original series. It just did not give me the thrill and wonder of the original and seemed to fall flat. Perhaps nostalgia is too great in me to give this movie it's due but, unfortunately, I found it rather dull, predictable, and uninspiring compared to the original series.

Where is the DVD Warner Brothers???????
Added 3/31/2005
I've been waiting for this movie to be released on DVD ever since DVD's started being produced in the early 1990's!! What is the hold up?? Why is Warner Brothers dragging their feet on this?? It's absolutely inexcusable! I'm tired of waiting for them! ALL of the versions of the TV show have been released to disc now, or are in the process of being released on disc. I would have thought the MOVIE would have been released FIRST!!! As another customers review has stated, this is a modern classic! The controversy surrounding the death of Vic Morrow during it's production ALONE should warrant it's release to disc, let alone the fact that it's got Steven Spielberg's stamp on it!
We've waited long enough Warner Brothers! Announce a release date soon, or YOU will be cast into the deepest, darkest corner of.....The Twilight Zone!!!!

Entertaining... And thats about it.
Added 7/11/2000
The monster scene in the beginning was a hoot for me. To see these two famous comedic actors in a scary comedic skit is just great! The first segment is alright. Many say it ends to abruptly, but thats because the actor in it was killed in the final helicopter chase segment in Vietnam. So now you know, God rest his soul. The second one TRIES to be a spielberg awe production, but its to cutesy. What the hell was the third one, i forgot? The one with John Lithgow on the plane is worse than the original episode with William Shatner himself! The only improvement is Lithgows acting (sorry, will). But the reason I rate this movie to begin with is the ending. You know, in the beginning Dan Akroyd asks if his friend in the car wants to see a little trick, and turns into a monster and kills him! Then, in the end, John Lithgow is being taken away in the ambulance, and the driver begins talking to him. Suddenly the driver asks if he would like to see a little trick...

Twilight Zone The Movie
Added 11/4/2009
I've been a huge fan of Twilight Zone for a long time now but never really got around to watch this film. I'm glad I did because while this film had moments, it was an overall disappointment. The start of the film was good but Aykroyd turning into a monster at the start of the film made me scratch my head.
The first film is surrounded in contraversy because the actor died on set. It started off pretty good with a man getting passed over for a promotion and he runs down races. He gets transported into different times that were hard for the races. The only part that I hated was the ending was beyond stupid and I hated it. For a PG movie, this one really pushes the censors with alot of racist terms.
The second film was a remake of the classic epsiode Kick The Can. I hated this film and it's probably Speilberg's worst effort.
The third film was awful. The first few minutes were nothing but references to different towns in original Twilight Zone epsiodes and even a directors name. The rest of the film just sucked and was unwatchable.
The final film featured John Lithgow in a remake of Nightmare at 5,000 feet. Lithgow did a great job as the lead actor and was by far the best story on the film.
Overall, started good but things got out of control. The final story was good but not enough for me to go out and recommend it to anyone.

Mediocre Movie Looks Good on Blu-ray
Added 7/19/2009
Twilight Zone - the Movie is a bit of a mess as a film. Only the last two segments are any good, along with the humorous introduction before the title sequence. The original Twilight Zone episodes were much better.
If you like the film, though, you can't do much better than to get the Blu-ray version. It looks the best by far, as if the film was shot and printed recently. Clarity and detail look great, especially considering the age of the film.
The only extra included is the theatrical trailer, which isn't much. Tragedy haunts this film, so maybe the producers of the DVD and BD didn't want any extras included that would delve into that history.

IT'S GOOD!
Added 7/11/2009
I first saw this film on Chiller, and I liked it a lot. I was happy to see that when I went to Target, I saw this on the Best-Seller wall! This movie can be funny and kind of creepy at the same time! I love the beginning, with the two guys humming theme songs.... "Do you want to see something really scary?" I like the last segmant. It is a little racial in the first segmant, but that doesn't matter. I love this movie, and I hope it is going to do great in the future.
