Very entertaining movie if you like Paul Hogan and I do. He gives a fresh character to the screen. The story is interesting and his performance is very good. The supporting cast also does a good job and at the end of the movie, you are left with a good feeling. highly recommended.

Another fun movie

That probably sums it up nicely. This movie is just plain old fun. There are some scenes in here that had me spraying water out of my nose (i.e. caught me off guard while drinking). It's a low-key movie, not a lot of action. Mostly a drama it succeeds in throwing humor your way when it can. Some of the jokes are very bad, to the point of cringing as you shake your head. But overall it is a fun movie to watch.
If you like Paul Hogan then it is a safe bet you'll enjoy this movie. Otherwise, you may be better off renting it first to see if it worth keeping in your collection. I have it in mine.

Great movie. Too many movies nowadays are so full of cussing and violence. This movie was very mild in that. Great story too.

best Paul Hogan Movie

Almost An Angel starring Aussie lands Paul Hogan of Crocodile Dundee fame turns the outback he man into a helpful person after he is freed from prison and he comes across Steve a man in a wheelchair. He dreams he has died and gone to heaven where God(Charlton Heston)tells him he is to go back to earth as a probationary angel...but is he an angel or not. To my mind this is Paul Hogans best movie..moving,funny and altogether good.

My Take On "Almost An Angel".

I first saw "Almost An Angel" on VHS, a fullscreen format. It seemed a long time before it was available on DVD in a widescreen format, and I couldn't wait to get it! Why?, because of the story!
Paul Hogan (Crocodile Dundee) plays a career criminal named Terry Dean, who has just been released from prison in the first few moments of the picture. We learn he is an electronics genious, and plans to return to his life of crime. Without thinking about it, he is hit by a car, while saving a little girl, knocking him out. When he reawakes, he appears to be in Heaven with God, who looks strangely like Charlton Heston. A conversation takes place, and when he emerges from this vision, he believes he's an angel, a life altering experience with lots of humour, never a dull moment!!
A very uplifting picture, well done, co-starring Elias Koteas, and Linda Kozlowski.
