Plot: Anthony Michael Hall and Michael Pare star in this ridiculous rip-off of Top Gun and Rambo III. Hall plays Tom Slade, a Hollywood pretty-boy star who prepares for a film role by hanging around Air Force fighter pilot Paul Watkins (Michael Pare). Of course, Paul resents the Hollywood intrusion, but as the film unravels, he begins to respect Tom Slade. Paul begins by putting Tom through the wringer, and Tom manages to make it through the tough training regimen, but Paul gets his dander up when Tom makes a play for his girlfriend Major Goode (Deborah Maria Moore). Finally, Tom gets to ride in an F-16, and Paul puts on an aerial display that would rival the Blue Angels. Unfortunately, during the stunts the boys are shot down and end up in the Middle East where they are tortured by Bedouins. Tom and Paul have to combine their stunt tricks in order to escape the enemies clutches. ~ Paul Brenner, All Movie Guide

This is my most favorite Michael Pare film. The acting is good all around. Good to see him portray a tight Air Force officer that has to put up with a rich boy/actor who gets them all in trouble. It is a believable film and the landscape is outstanding.

If you are either a fan of Michael Pare or Anthony Michael Hall I highly recommend this one. You will not be sorry!!., This is one of my very fave movies of Michael Pare's. THe humour in it surprised me for I thought it to be nothing but serious which it is but with unexpected humour. You'll not be dissapointed in this one.

Cheesy but worth a watch.
Added 10/12/2004

I've seen this a couple of times. It's not that bad of a movie. Last night I was looking through old VHS tapes of mine and I came across this one. I didn't even remeber watching this. I popped it in and gave it a look. I vaguely remembered it.

Asside from some cheesy acting and storyline there are a few laughs. Anthony Michael Hall fans will like this film.

A Fun Action-Comedy !
Added 6/7/2003

I rated this a "4" because my criteria
in judging a movie are adjusted to its
genre; and as an action-comedy I felt it
approached a Harrison Ford type comedy,
which I rate as "5"

Acting was realistic, photography great,
and we even got a bit of sermonizing
(how a fighter's discipline works against
his ability to be confidential about his
feelings).

Deborah Maria Moore was a nice bit of
frosting on the cake.

If you're not jaded as a movie critic,
and like light comedy and air force action
see this one!
