Plot: In this hard-hitting urban action story, Killa Pop (Snoop Dogg) is the leader of a Los Angeles street gang who've become a criminal force to be reckoned with. Snap (Goldie Loc) and Crackle (Tray Dee) are two of Pop's most trusted associates who've risen through the ranks to become his right-hand men. But Snap and Crackle have decided they're tired of working under Killa Pop, and frame him for murder so they can take over the operation while he's behind bars. When Killa Pop is found guilty, even though he had nothing to do with this crime, he seemingly takes his punishment like a man and behaves like a model prisoner. But Pop's docile exterior is just a ruse -- he's mapped out a plan to break out of jail, and with the help of his real friends, will bring down Snap and Crackle and regain control of his underground business. But Snap and Crackle aren't about to give up without a fight, and are willing to play dirty to stay on top. Eastsidaz also features cameo appearances from hip-hop stars Warren G., Xzibit, and RBX. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide

HA HA HA HA HA, WHAT A JOKE!

BEFORE YA EVEN PICK THIS MOVIE UP, YOU SHOULD ALREADY KNOW THAT THE ACTING IS GONNA BE TERRIBLE AND THE FILMING IS GONNA BE CHEAP. BUT, SOMETIMES, IT'S SO STUPID THAT IT GETS FUNNY. BEFORE HE RETIRES FROM ''THE GAME'', A GANG LORD [SNOOP DOGG] DOES ONE FINAL JOB. BUT, HIS HOMEBOY [TRAY DEEE] SETS HIM UP FOR A MURDER HE DIDN'T COMMIT. WANTING REVENGE, HE BREAKS OUT OF JAIL AND GOES ON THE HUNT FOR THE MAN WHO SENT HIM TO JAIL AND KIDNAPPED HIS GIRL. STUPID BUT UNDENIABLY FUNNY. I WAS GON GIVE THIS MOVIE 1 STAR AT FIRST, BUT AFTER REALIZING HOW FUNNY IT WAS, I DECIDED TO RAISE IT BY 1 MORE STAR. THUGS, MOST FANS OF SNOOP DOGG, AND MOST FANS OF GANGSTA MOVIES WILL LIKE THIS. BUT OTHERS NEEDN'T EVEN BOTHER.

It's no John Singleton Film!

Released as a promotional tool for Snoop's new rap group, this movie is actually just a home movie with a bunch of Snoop's friends playing parts. Fans of the West Coast rap scene will notice not just Snoop but such greats as Warren G, RBX, Jayo Felony, and Xzibt, just to name a few.

The movie can be of the "so bad, it's good" variety at times. The dialouge is just awful as Snoop plays a kingpin set up for the murder of a Jamacian drug posse. Big Tray Deee is the new crime boss who set up old Snoop. Now, Big Snoop and his comedy sidekick have to break out of prison and go to war.

The acting, fight sequences, and overall pace is just laughable.
Half of the movie was filmed in Snoop's house as you can clearly see all of his old posters and plaques on the wall. The film was recorded on a digital camera and follows the same boring and predictable concepts that often come with many rapper movies where the lead character is an invincble and invunerable super-gangster who never gets beat up or made a fool. He even goes pound for pound with Tray, who is clearly a lot bigger than he is.

If you're looking for some good fun and want to see what kind of movie Snoop and his pals can make with a video camera, check this out but it makes previous album-inspired movies, MURDER WAS THE CASE and THE GAME OF LIFE look like cinematic classics in comparison.

Right yall im a massive massive Snoop Dogg fan and i rented this movie in good faith of it being good but it wasnt the filming was pants and the acting was quite bad too the best bit is when snoop beats up a man in a shop for getting him kicked out of the high school football team, the storyline is hard to understand at first youll have to watch it twice to fully understand it, its an alright film if your completley bored otherwise dont waste your money.
