Plot: This is a very macho action film in which the good guys are just that guys. Col. Cooper (David Carridine) has been captured by the North Vietnamese and wheels and deals his way out of this predicament with the sleazy Vietnamese commandant, Capt. Vinh (Mako). Vinh agrees to let Cooper and the other P.O.W.s leave if Cooper will take Vinh and his ill-gotten gains back with them to the United States. Cooper agrees, and then has to struggle with the ever-frustrating Sparks (Charles R. Floyd), who thinks he knows better than anyone else about how to escape from the camp. The motley crew set off into the jungle, encountering the enemy and a very uncooperative Mother Nature along the way. ~ Eleanor Mannikka, All Movie Guide

Pow the escape vhs-Attack force nam dvd
Added 6/10/2008

What? I hate it when young kids review a solid 80s globus movie they dont appreciate the era of the time vietnam action flicks. This is a good movie yeah its somewhat cheesy like american ninja but I always loved these kind of movies the good guys always win. This is what america used to be all about at the time. A side not the DvD version is called Attack force Nam region 0 so it plays on all dvd players.

[Two and a half out of Four stars] Another attempt at Col. James Bo Gritz, p.o.w.'s rescue, this time with D.Carradine as Col.
Added 5/5/2006

Except that Carradine plays Col. Jim
Cooper and nutty Golan Globur crew
stages this one. Not as bad as Rambo
III or Missing In Action III, as Sly
Stallone, who opposed Carradine in
silly Death Race 2000 (*), or Chuck
Norris went to the well once too of-
ten in those pics. Carradine and re-
cognizable black American actor Steve
(Johnny B. Goode) James steal the show
but despicable Mako, a former Hawai'i
Five-0 actor is believable enough until
his hardcore end. Typical pretty good
Carradine actioner undone by sorry Go-
lan Globus production standards which
are worse than Roger Corman's Am.Indies!
