this remains one of my favorite cuts by Usher. the Groove fits him and this is a cool going to the club type of cut. the remixes are cool.I dig the chorus and the harmony he displays on this cut. hard to believe it's 6 years old because it sounds fresher to me than much of his last album.

(3-1/2 stars) Entertaining and annoying at the same time
Added 8/26/2002
"U Don't Have To Call" has interesting lyrics, although his interpolation of Biggie's line from "One More Chance" may have to grow on you. The music is catchy and is sure to get you dancing, but at the same time those weird sound effects in the background make you wonder if he recorded this song while he was playing his Atari 7800. Also, that screaming he does at the end sounds like he's falling down the stairs.

The R&B/ Hip-Hop KING, Part 1
Added 6/18/2002
Usher is the entertainer of the 21st century and he is the King of R&B/Hip-Hop/Soul/Pop.... No Rap heads i'm not including Nas, Jay-Z, Nelly, Ja Rule, or even Ludacris in the area Usher is in.. With Three #1 singles (U Got It bad, U Don't Have To Call, U Remind Me) he makes Ja Rule seem average... Twork It Out is the NEXT (not NEW) Single and it will be #1 and if U wanna include I Need a Girl, Pt.1 Usher will then have 5 #1 singles... and his album has sold over 7 million albums (8701) and My Way (second album of Usher) did the same... 8701 is better but My Way wasn't bad either.. so I have to bouce Part 2 of my review will be on the Next single Twork It Out.. 1...
