007 Legends announced, spanning six Bond films

With a new Bond, James Bond movie on the horizon, there's naturally another video game tie-in coming too. This time, GoldenEye 007: Reloaded developer Eurocom is ambitiously tying the plots of six Bond movies together to create 007 Legends for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The single-player campaign will recreate sections from Bond's past adventures as well as the new movie, Skyfall. GoldenEye Reloaded's single-player 'Mi6 Ops' ranked challenges will return too, some of which let you play from the perspective of Bond's chums or enemies. On the multiplayer front, there's online play and four-player local split-screen shenanigans, bristling with weapons, areas and characters from Bond's history. Beamdog president says Nintendo kept him in the dark, doesn't understand Wii U

When we shipped MDK2 there was a large confusion about demos on the platform and we never got a straight answer if demos were allowed. We were not allowed to set the price, Nintendo set the pricing, telling us after a week it would be 1000 points. As well, there was never any discussion of doing a sale or promoting the title. This all contributed to a title we worked very hard on not getting any differentiation from other titles in the WiiWare store. I could be wrong, but I think the gaming world has changed irrevocably and there are now two (Read More)

Indie Jeff's Weekly Pick: Fez

Ever since I had a chance to play a little bit of Fez at last year's IndieCade festival, I'd been anxiously awaiting its release. At the time, it wowed me with its aesthetics--both nostalgic and beautiful--and its seemingly pure focus on exploration above all else. In short, I've had pretty high hopes for the game. Now that the Xbox Live Arcade exclusive is out in the wild and I've been able to spend quite a bit more time with it, I'm happy to report that the game is continuing to surprise and delight in a number of unexpected ways. Fez The intriguing and odd-looking tasseled hat for which indie developer Polytron's game is named has been highlighted in a number of other mediums before. Before The Simpsons, Matt Groening adorned his comic-book characters Akbar & Jeff with the esoteric lids. Steely Dan and Dr. Who have also featured Fez's in one way or another. In (Read More)

The Witcher 2: Assassins Of Kings Enhanced Edition Xbox 360 review

The epic PC RPG, The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, arrives in an Enhanced Edition on Xbox 360… Having already swept the board of gaming awards on the PC last year, CD Projekt's The Witcher 2: Assassin's of Kings , sequel to the original 2007 PC release, has made it to the Xbox 360, along with all of the downloadable content from the PC game, and a few extra bits besides. The game follows the exploits of Geralt of Rivia, one of the last few remaining Witchers, superhuman monster hunters for hire. Following on from the first game, The Witcher 2 sees Geralt in a bit of a bind. He's been imprisoned, accused of assassinating the king, and he's left with the unenviable task of proving his innocence, something that's going to take a whole lot of dangerous questing and enemy slaying. Luckily, our Geralt is a little bit handy in a scrap, and his skill with the sword is matched o (Read More)
