Nearly a decade has passed since Max Payne last brought his brand of violent street justice to a dark and unjust world and videogames have changed dramatically in this time. And Max has changed with it under the new direction of Rockstar Vancouver who are contributing the first game in the series not created by originating studio Remedy. Max Payne 3 is a game which is instantly recognizable by its gameplay tropes yet manages to achieve a fresh take on the character and his world without betraying his origins. Plan on picking up Max Payne 3 next week? Want to join Game Informer's crew? Here's how. Create a Rockstar Game Social Club account and head over to Game Informer's crew page to join up and play with other members of our community. Rockstar says Crew Membership is mixed across games and platforms, just like the Social Club, allowing friends to join and represent the same crew regardless of their preferred choice of platform: Xbox 360, PC, or Playstation 3. The Game Informer crew will persist across future Rockstar titles, including Grand Theft Auto V.

The catch (there's always a catch) is you must buy the game from GameStop, and you have to be a PowerUp Rewards member. Every PowerUp Rewards member who buys Max Payne 3 from GameStop will be entered to win the money which will be delivered in a duffel bag (the preferred method of money transportation), a custom Max Payne 3 Xbox 360, and a bundle of four Rockstar games. More details for the multiplayer modes of Max Payne 3 have landed, and we’ve got them here… With a typically strong and stylish Rockstar-penned story, Max Payne 3 may not be a game that needs to jump on the multiplayer bandwagon. That hasn't stopped this third instalment from packing in the content, though, and the more we see of the multiplayer aspect of the game, the more excited we are to finally get our hands on it.
