Singing sensation Deanna Durbin shines in the musical comedy I'll Be Yours written by Academy Award winner Preston Sturges. Louise Ginglebusher (Durbin) is a small-town girl who goes to the Big Apple looking for work and finds herself in a jam. With the help of her friend, Wechsberg (William Bendix), she crashes a ritzy society party and attracts the attention of an amorous millionaire (Adolph Menjou). Desperate to put the brakes on this Romeo, she tells him she's married to a struggling lawyer (Tom Drake) she just met. However, when sparks fly between her and the lawyer, her fib backfires with hilarious results.
