J. Pinkham Whinney (Charlie Ruggles) and his wife, Flora (Mary Boland), want to go on a second honeymoon and decide to share the trip's expenses with a wacky couple, George Edward (George Burns) and Gracie De Vore (Gracie Allen). None of them realize they are carrying a suitcase stashed with stolen loot planted by Whinney's scheming colleague, Ferguson (Bradley Page). But Ferguson's convoluted plan goes awry once Sheriff John Hoxley (W.C. Fields) sticks his bulbous nose into the picture.
