Laddie follows in the paw prints of his heroic mother in this sequel to "Lassie Come Home." Laddie's owner, Joe Carraclough (Peter Lawford), enlists during World War II, and the pup joins him at his military camp to train as a war dog. After sneaking onto Joe's airplane for an ill-fated bombing mission, Laddie finds himself trapped behind enemy lines with Joe. Together they try to evade the Nazis forces. But when Joe gets injured, it's up to Laddie to come to his rescue.
