Absolutely fxxxing brilliant!

I have never seen a more magnificent film. Totally absorbing, funny and with songs to die for. I can't praise the courage and imaginative verve enough - the scene where the little girl realises that she loves her mommy and that her grandmother is in fact her half brother is one of the most gut wrenching moments of comic invention I have ever witnesssed. Baldwind [stinks] though big time but cannot manage to harm this resplendent film. The writer should get an Oscar! Hooray for this extraordinary foray into post Wittgenstein elaboration - this is "Show not tell" big time!

What's wrong with these people?

I don't usually watch films like this but fortunately a friend urged me to see it. I enjoyed it immensely and found it a complelling and challenging voyage into the world of the cinematic obsession with the serial killer - I must say though that Baldwin let down the film badly - his acting was crude method and Sadie Frost telephoned in a performance insulting both to the director and writer. Pete Postlethwaite turned in one of his best performances - chilling and problematic as it should be. All in all a must-see film for all those who like their cinema adventurous and intelligent.

watch Marianne, then leave quietly

How did the director of "the Vanishing" manage to churn out this nasty little exploitation horror masquerading as Art ? Watch the bits with the glorious Marianne Faithfull singing, then have a little mental debate with yourself as to whether she knew what she was getting involved with, then quietly leave the movie - don't you know it's OK to walk out on a video this reprehensible ?

Crimetime Is The Worst Movie Ever
Added 2/4/1999

The director of Crimetime is obviously a sadistic punk that has a immense lack of humor and taste. The only reason some person may want to waste time is becuz Staphen Baldwin does a great acting job, but nothing could save the plot. About a man who portrays a real killer in a TV show and starts feeling like he is inside the killer, and goes on a candy*** spree. DONT WASTE TIME ON THIS!!
