When I first watched the movie, I was lying in bed and fell asleep on it, but now when I look at it, I get so much laughter and joy from it. It is too funny and it seems I catch something I missed from the time before. To me the storyline is good also. If you want a good laugh - especially afrom Loretta Devine & Jenifer Lewis - watch it. It's a good comedy movie.

Patrick, a gay, African-American magazine writer, has a near perfect life. However, he has turned his back on his southern roots by escaping to New York City--until a knock on his door by an 11-year-old boy changes everything for him and his partner. This movie provides an excellent representation of the universal family dynamic.

Beautiful!!! and Funny

This is a wonderful movie (quality and all) that has a beautiful message attached not to spoil the movie but once you have seen this it will become very clear what life is all about. Given that this story is one that is very near and dear to me, I must say that this is a powerful movie and the information that is presented is one that will not be forgotten.

GREAT MOVIE, LOVED THE COMEDY AND THE MESSAGE

THIS DVD IS 1 OF MY FAVORITE'S NOW. I LOVE THE COMEDY IN THE MOVIE AND THE MESSAGE IS SO IMPORTANT. EVERYTIME I HAVE COMPANY OVER THIS IS 1 OF THE DVD'S I PULL OUT TO WATCH.

Not that Great!

A friend of mine recommended this movie to me.
Once I purchased it, I was not to impressed.
I am not discriminatory against gays at all. But I would not buy a movie like this.
If the gay stuff wasn't in it, I may have enjoyed it.
I will not recommend this movie to anyone.
