Low budget yields high returns

If you thought that the Dukes of Hazzard was based entirely on Smokey and the Bandit I, then watch this wild flick and think again: there's enough vehicular action and pre-Daisy Duke attire (mostly worn by Jane Anne Johnstone) to fill two and one half episodes of that TV series. There's even a hint of "Thelma And Louise" in this modest production.
Seems like the Moonshiner Father of two modern day rural belles is killed when an incompetent Deputy (expertly played by co-writer abd Producer Wes Bishop) shoots out his tire in a unnecessary high speed chase, and his car plummets down a slope. When the ladies learn that his death is the result of this character's latest bad judgement they decide to give up their search for minimum wage work in town and take revenge on this guy and an unwelcome stranger, "Entrepreneur" Stanley Adams (in a role much different from his Eric Von Zipper), who plans to basically buy up the county (including supposed oil-rich land), with zero regard for the lifelong inhabitants.
The plotline is somewhat obvious but the direction, writing, editing, and very significantly the *acting* keep the viewer engaged.
It appears that some "local" folks appear in some scenes and they do jes' fine.
Even the music is noteworthy, by Duane Eddy, Dorsey Burnette, and others.
