I could not believe how many curse word / minute this move used; WOW
The acting was good but the producer just did not even care, An Un-powered nail gun?, the drivers side door was knocked off then it was back on but the rear passenger door was shown to be off?.
I can't believe how bad this is compared to Lethal Weapon 1
I am a sailor and I don't curse as much as these guys in the first part of the movie, I guess the 80s were not as I remembered them.
In an case the acting is a 5 Star
The picture quality is good
But the directing, language and story consistency was very sadly lacking :( I did not remember this from when I watched it in 89.

Fun 80's action thriller.

Lethal Weapon 2 is "obviously" the 2nd of the 4 movie sequel and does not disappoint. Lethal Weapon 2 delivers on action and comedy with a story line that keeps you entertained from beginning to end.

Los Angeles P.D. officers Roger Murtaugh and Martin Riggs are back, and this time they are chasing a thug in a red BMW. When the car crashes, several million dollars in Krugerand - South African currency - spill out of the trunk. After Murtaugh is ambushed in his home by a group of South African thugs, they speculate that the vehicle they were chasing may be linked. When their captain assigns them to guard a witness in a drug case, they soon find out that the drug dealers the witness was dealing with are South African diplomats hiding behind their immunity to carry out cocaine smuggling. Riggs also discovers that one of the consulate employees is in fact the murderer of his wife After the thugs kill a consul secretary Riggs was in love with, and several fellow police officers are murdered by the diplomats, Riggs & Murtaugh exact angry, bloody revenge against the psychopathic drug-dealing diplomats. The action in this movie is kept in the same style as in the first movie and it is still both exhilarating and entertaining.

Great Flick, Disappointing Blu-Ray

This is one movie that badly needs a remaster. The Blu-Ray was made from an old 1080i master that has been upscaled to 1080p so the image is full of jaggies and visible pixels. Still a fun movie after all these years but when I buy Blu-Ray I expect reference level quality - this one just doesn't deliver. Prepare for the old Hollywood Double Dip.
