This movie is one of the best movies I have seen in years. It is so clean. No ugly wording or sexual scenes. I also thought the cinematography was beautiful and of very good quality. A movie all ages can watch. I have watched it several times and did not get tired of it, and that says alot for a movie produced today. It leaves with you a feeling of beauty and peace.
Renee Zellweger did an outstanding job protraying Beautrix Potter.
I am an artist, so naturally I enjoyed the drawing and painting scenes. Love those kind of movies.

Fun & Family Friendly

If you are at all familiar with the Beatrice Potter books you will LOVE getting to know the woman who created them. This was a great movie for our family and elementary school aged children who have already read these wonderful children's tales. Just get it. Seriously. It gets even better if you watch it a second or third time.

Delightful

This movie took me by surprise as I was unaware of Beatrix Potter's life story. What a gentle yet strong woman who was much ahead of her time in Victorian England where young women were supposed to do as they were told and marry according to their parents will. Beatrix, to her credit, abhorred the pomposity of this tradition and chose to live her life her way. What ensues will enchant and amaze you as you realize this is a true story. And I was so impressed with how she chose to live her later life through conservation and giving back to her countrymen a portion of England that they can be proud of for many generations to come. A truly remarkable woman that we can all learn from and admire.Both Renee Zellweger and Ewan McGregor give beautiful performances and have a certain chemistry on screen that takes us to another place in time.

Just wonderful!

One of the best movies ever! The scenery is spectacular and yes, filmed in the Lake District in England. I was fortunate to go there a year after filming and can now watch the movie and actually know exactly where certain scenes were made. This movie has so much heart. The acting and writing are superb! There is nothing else to say except that I am so glad to own the DVD to get my fix whenever inclined.
