Description: In the center of a societal storm is Ocean (Monica Calhoun, Bagdad Café, The Best Man), a 27-year old, extremely motivated mother who manages a neighborhood apartment building and the myriad problems that come with it. For Ocean, managing the building is a dream realized. Not only has she secured a job with authority and power, she has been able to escape her family’s calumny and the closet-sized confines of the room she and her two children used to share in her mother’s house. In this new life, Ocean finds herself juggling a new job, a new home with only cardboard box decor, a chronically dissatisfied niece, her own two children and the smothering needs of all the other tenants.
