Description: For Nick (Jason Bateman), Kurt (Jason Sudeikis) and Dale (Charlie Day), the only thing that would make the daily grind more tolerable would be to grind their intolerable bosses (Kevin Spacey, Colin Farrell, Jennifer Aniston) into dust. Quitting is not an option, so, with the benefit of a few-too-many drinks and some dubious advice from a hustling ex-con (Jamie Foxx), the three friends devise a convoluted and seemingly foolproof plan to rid themselves of their respective employers...permanently. There's only one problem: even the best laid plans are only as foolproof as the brains behind them.

Aniston Could Say We're The Millers

With Jason Sudeikis in the pot comedy New Line clearly hasnt given up on the idea of shepherding long-gestating pot smuggling comedy Were The Millers on to screens. The latest names linked to the script are Jennifer Aniston and Jason Sudeikis. First announced back in 2006, when Steve Buscemi was lined up to star, Were The Millers has been stuck in development traffic ever since. Directors including Peter Cattaneo and Burr Steers have come and gone and the script, originally by Wedding Crashers writers Steve Faber and Bob Fisher has gone through numerous drafts. With Dodgeball s Rawson Thurber now in the directors chair, the basic concept remains the same: Sudeikis would play a pot dealer who recruits a fake wife (Aniston, as a prostitute) and two kids (juvenile delinquents) to pose as a family so he can smuggle 1000 pounds of weed cross country in an RV. If they both (Read More)

HORRIBLE BOSSES Director Seth Gordon to Helm THE HAS-BEENS for New Line

New Line Cinema is looking to stay in the Seth Gordon business as the studio as set their Horrible Bosses director to helm the comedy The Has-Beens.  Variety’s report on the matter states that the logline is being kept under wraps, but the script was written by The Colbert Report scribe Max Werner.  Horrible Bosses was a huge hit for an R-rated comedy, and Gordon is next set to direct Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy in the crime comedy Identity Thief.  Werner also wrote Fun Size, which opens on October 26th.  That film centers on a teenager who loses her brother on Halloween and must find him before returning home.  The O.C. creator Josh Schwartz makes his feature directorial debut. I flat-out loved Horrible Bosses, so I’m happy to see Gordon continuing to capitalize on the film’s success.  Hopefully we hear more about The Has-Beens soon.  Identity Thief is set to open on May 10th, 2013.

Amanda Peet Undergoes Identity Theft

Co-starring with Bateman and McCarthy The critical appreciation for NBC's rom-com series Bent might suggest she'll be busy on TV for some time to come, but Amanda Peet has still found time to join the cast of Identity Theft , where she'll appear alongside Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy. As previously reported, Identity Theft is Seth Gordon's follow-up to Horrible Bosses , and involves Bateman having his identity hijacked by - of all things! - a woman. It was originally more straightforward, but the screenplay was re-tooled for McCarthy after Bateman fell in love with her turn in Bridesmaids . Peet's role is unclear at this point, but it's her second time working with Bateman: the two previously shared screentime with Zach Braff in The Ex . If you're in the mood for some Peet trivia, it's also her second "Identity" movie, since she was in the twisty psychological thri (Read More)
