Import Export (2009)

Description: IMPORT EXPORT tells two stories that at first glance appear unrelated. One is an `import' story about a young nurse and mother who leaves the Ukraine for Austria in search of a better life. The second is an `export' story, in which a young man who finds himself unemployed and in debt travels the reverse rout. Both are struggling to believe in themselves and to find some sense of meaning and purpose in their lives. IMPORT EXPORT is a film about sex and death, living and dying, winners and losers, power and helplessness.
