Description: Only one American hero has earned the rank of Green Beret, Navy SEAL and Army Ranger. Just one operative has been awarded 16 purple hearts, 3 Congressional Medals of Honor and 7 presidential medals of bravery. And only one guy is man enough to still sport a mullet. In 2010, Will Forte brings Saturday Night Live's clueless soldier of fortune to the big screen in the action comedy MacGruber. In the 10 years since his fiancee was killed, special op MacGruber has sworn off a life of fighting crime with his bare hands. But when he learns that his country needs him to find a nuclear warhead that's been stolen by his sworn enemy, Dieter Von Cunth (Val Kilmer), MacGruber figures he's the only one tough enough for the job. Assembling an elite team of experts, Lt. Dixon Piper (Ryan Phillippe) and Vicki St. Elmo (Kristen Wiig), MacGruber will navigate an army of assassins to hunt down Cunth and bring him to justice. His methods may be unorthodox. His crime scenes may get messy. But if you want the world saved right, you call in MacGruber.

Film: Newswire: Jorma Taccone is pretty sure there will be a MacGruber 2

Suggesting there is no obstacle that cannot be overcome with a little faith in your friends, plus a dash of spite and self-delusion, Jorma Taccone tells ScreenCrush , possibly sarcastically, that he is developing a MacGruber sequel with collaborators Will Forte and John Solomon, despite the original being a huge commercial failure. "Every time I hang out with Will, we talk about all our cool ideas for the sequel. We have the idea for it and we have a title, but I won’t tell you what it is," Taccone told the site of their plans, suggesting their meetings take place ...

Written and illustrated by Duncan Rouleau, Unknown follows Zach Feld, a slacker who is tormented by the fact that everything he imagines shows up somewhere else. Its as if someone is stealing his thoughts and selling them off to the highest bidder. MACGRUBER Director Jorma Taccone to Helm Action Comedy THE GREAT UNKNOWN

Though it wasn’t exactly a commercial success, the 2010 comedy MacGruber has become a sort of cult hit as of late. Its absurdity is only matched by its hilarity, and I find myself liking the movie more and more with each viewing.   As such, it comes as great news that MacGruber director (and The Lonely Island member) Jorma Taccone is attached to direct a new action-comedy for New Line based on the Image comic The Great Unknown, written by Duncan Rouleau. Rouleau is a part of Man of Action Studios, the group behind the Ben 10 empire and Disney XD's Ultimate Spider-Man animated series.  Michael Starrbury will pen the script for the pic, which centers on “a slacker with delusions of grandeur who believes his so-called great ideas are popping up elsewhere.”  Since no one believes that his ideas are being stolen, he sets out on a quest to “solve the mystery behind the idea thefts.” Hit the j (Read More)
