Writer, Director Drew Goddard Talks CABIN IN THE WOODS, CLOVERFIELD 2 and ROBOPOCALYPSE

Twitch was created because so many good little films fall through the cracks of fandom. When one of those movies is rescued from obscurity, or especially from studio politics or just plain because we get a little crazy around here. When one of those movies involves major contributions from Joss Whedon- well.... YEAH BABY!!!! IMO The Cabin in the Woods is indeed every bit as fun as you've heard. I got the chance to sit down with director and co-writer Drew Goddard who is tall, much better looking than me and a heckuva lot better at what he does. He's also impossible to hate and has a lot of insightful things to say about the life a writer in Hollywood. He's also, and this blew my mind...

'Cabin In The Woods' Stars Talk Death Scenes

Spoiler alert: Bradley Whitford and Richard Jenkins speak to MTV News about filming horror flick. If you haven't experienced it yet, go see the movie now! Otherwise we advise that you stop reading this article until you do, because the rest of this story contains major SPOILERS about character deaths. We're talki (Read More)

Drew Goddard Talks THE CABIN IN THE WOODS, the CLOVERFIELD Sequel, ALIAS, BUFFY, LOST, Spielberg’s ROBOPOCALYPSE, THE AVENGERS and More

As I’ve said again and again,  Drew Goddard and Joss Whedon's The Cabin in the Woods is one of the best “horror” movies I’ve ever seen, and it’s easily one of my favorite films this year.  While many of you might love the horror genre, I find it repetitive and stale.  It seems like the genre is stuck in neutral, and no one is making any progress forward.  But that all changed after I saw Cabin in the Woods.  Without spoiling anything, let’s just say the film turns “horror” on its head, and I loved every second of it.  For more on the film, here's Matt's glowing review and interviews with Richard Jenkins and Bradley Whitford as well as Anna Hutchison, Jesse Williams &#38 Kristen Connolly. Right before this year's SXSW, I sat down with co-writer and director Drew Goddard for an extended video interview. Since we both didn't want to spoil any of the twists and turn (Read More)
