Description: X-MEN: FIRST CLASS charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to prevent nuclear Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto's Brotherhood and Professor X's X-Men.

X-MEN: FIRST CLASS Sequel to Shoot in January to Avoid Scheduling Conflicts for Jennifer Lawrence

Who would win in a fight between Mystique from X-Men: First Class and Katniss from The Hunger Games?  The answer: Jennifer Lawrence.  While 20th Century Fox and Lionsgate studios were busy scheduling the shoots for their respective mega-franchise sequels, they got in a bit of a tussle over Lawrence's availability. I'm sure the bankable young lady loves to have movie studios fighting over her, but luckily the conflict has been resolved. The Hunger Games sequel, Catching Fire, will shoot with Lawrence this fall after that, she will film the sequel to X-Men: First Class the following January. Hit the jump for much more on both projects. Heat Vision reports that, although the studios have managed to get along this time around, if another Hunger Games project interferes with a 20th Century Fox film which involves Lawrence, Fox can exercise the option on the young star's contract.  Let's ho (Read More)

Next X-Men Shoots In January

Good news for Jennifer Lawrence fans Aside from big fans of The Hunger Games (and we realise you are legion), was anyone truly worried about a potential clash between 20th Century Fox’s X-Men: First Class sequel and the shooting schedule for Games follow-up, Catching Fire? We can’t say it was exactly keeping us up at night, but now no one has to panic as Fox has shifted the X-Men shoot to January 2013. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Fox and Hunger Games studio Lionsgate had been acting like enraged cats for a while now, circling each other and hissing, but never quite landing any claw strikes. Why the fuss? Well, Fox had the first option on Jennifer Lawrence, who played the young Mystique in First Class, and had been seriously considering kicking off the sequel’s shoot in the autumn, with Matthew Vaughn once more directing. Which would have been an issue for Lionsgate, as it wants (Read More)
