Because he's just a lowly vagabond and mere street performer, when Aladdin (Cornel Wilde) is caught trying to woo the beautiful princess Armina, he's forced to flee with his sidekick Abdullah (Phil Silvers). When he stumbles onto a magic lamp whose beautiful genie (Evelyn Keyes) agrees to grant him any wish, Aladdin asks to be made a prince so that he can return to Baghdad and win Armina's hand. Yet, finding his plans to marry the princess being thwarted by the sultan's evil twin, Aladdin must first deal with the lovely genie's growing affection for him and then expose a plot to steal the kingdom's throne before marrying Armina.
