During World War II, Violette Szabo volunteers to join the SOE (Special Operations Executive) and parachutes into France as a secret agent to aid a Resistance group. After her first mission is a success, she returns to France, but this time is captured by the Germans. Tortured by the Gestapo for information, she refuses to betray her comrades and is consequently deported to a German concentration camp. A moving story about the strength of the human spirit, in even the most adverse circumstances. Based on a best-selling biography of the same name by R. J. Minney, which was based on the true story of the heroism of SOE agent Violette Szabo.
