When a spoiled rich girl stops at a small-town gas station and meets its handsome mechanic, it seems like love at first sight . . . and for a young man who's never dreamed big, it seems like a Chance at Heaven. Blacky Gorman (Joel McCrea—The Palm Beach Story, Sullivan's Travels) soon breaks up with his faithful sweetheart, Marg Harris (Academy Award winner Ginger Rogers—The Barkleys of Broadway, Top Hat), and marries heiress Glory Franklin (Marion Nixon). But when Glory discovers the reality of married life without wealth and servants, she abandons Blacky and goes home to the city. Blacky follows her, even though it's too late for their marriage. But it's not too late for Blacky and Marg when he realizes he should have stayed with her all along. Based on the story "A Chance at Heaven" by Viña Delmar.
