In Los Angeles, ART LOPEZ (40) and his daughter, JESSICA (18), argue about her future. He wants her to join him in the family business, but Jessica has college plans. They don’t believe the end of the world is at hand either until a blinding flash of light catches them by surprise and a satellite careens down and slams directly into their home!In New York Aron carries a wounded Samantha from the crumbling hospital up to the medevac and takes off as the buildings around them collapse. As he looks out over the inferno that was once Manhattan he sees the sun going down. But it’s only 1 in the afternoon… In Los Angeles, as more satellites fall out of orbit, crippling communication, Art and Jessica flee the destruction of their home and frantically try to get news about what is happening. The gravity of the rogue planet has flung us from our orbit. Hurled through space, the earth has become a rogue planet itself – and it’s taking us all along for the ride! Buildings topple, cities are leveled, and the entire infrastructure of modern civilization is being torn to shreds. The pattern of night and day is shattered, wildly fluctuating gravitational forces warp and tear the very crust of the earth, unleashing super volcanoes, swallowing cities, and boiling oceans. Our everyday heroes have survived the initial event, only to be left facing a cataclysm that makes the Biblical Apocalypse look like a picnic. Along their epic journey to survive, a rumor is spreading. No one knows where or how it started but they see it spray painted on ruined buildings, written on crude pamphlets, and spoken by strangers… 46.9667° N, 103.4500°W. Coordinates to a location: is there safety there, sanctuary? Or is it just blind hope? It’s anyone’s guess and making it there is the real struggle. But it could all be for nothing.
